Jieling
The title of this project comes from the artist’s childhood name, once spoken and later set aside. Jieling explores how memory continues to inhabit the present moment. Through the act of revisiting family places, traces of the past resurface in brief gestures and fragments of recognition. The work examines how looking itself becomes a return – where past and present quietly coexist, shaping one another. Rather than preserving what has gone, Jieling attends to what still moves beneath: the persistence of memory as it transforms into presence.
